Road Home - Integration for Wildland Firefighters

Have you ever returned home after an intense fire assignment or fire season and experience decision fatigue, disconnection, depletion, anxiety, depression, apathy, or mind chatter in which you question and analyze your decisions repeatedly? Or perhaps you are dealing with stressful relationship issues that have been impacted by your all encompassing job and you want insight and skills to be able to re-engage in a loving way.

It could be a stressful situation that you have been dealing with for a long period of time, or a single incident that left you feeling not quite yourself.  These are early warning signs from your body and psyche that physical, mental, and emotional support and integration are needed so that you can transition back into your personal life in a supportive, easeful way.

If you are experiencing or anticipating in the off season, these thoughts and emotions, there are ways to support you so that you don’t have to struggle and heal these difficult cycles on your own.

The pathways to healing that I use are a combination of western psychotherapy, wisdom traditions, and nature based practices such as - relationship connection & coaching, somatic psychology, nature therapy, co-created ceremony, body movement/somatic practices, trauma awareness and nervous system regulation, creative art, storytelling, and dreamwork.

What to expect from sessions:

A change in your physiology that offers your body a felt sense of relief and ease

Felt shift in your internal life and a transformation in your external life

Trauma informed healing practices

Daily somatic practices that work for you

Embodiment of transformation
